Dear parents,
Welcome to my childminding setting! I am a mom who fell in love with childcare.
'm a fluent French and English speaking with a deep love for creativity, play, and laughter. I am Ofsted registered and live 3mins away from West Hampstead station.
My vision is to create a cosy, joyful space where children feel safe, understood, and encouraged to be themselves.
Why choose a childminder?
I believe a childminder offers a home-from-home setting where children feel safe, relaxed, and truly cared for. I look after a small group of just two to three children at a time, with only one baby under one, so every child gets plenty of individual attention.
I take the time to explain things clearly to the children, move at their own development pace, and personalise their learning to suit them. At the same time, the children learn how to live, play, and bond together, building confidence and strong relationships in a calm, family-like environment.
As a registered childminder, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring children receive high-quality, safe, and well-regulated care while learning and developing through play.
With a background in the arts, I create engaging ways for children to learn and play. I believe nurturing self-expression, inspiring young minds to embrace their creativity and unique talents.
CREATIVE Tailored Activities
Outdoor Exploration
Outdoor adventures with your dog are a great activity for children! Exploring parks and trails allows kids to enjoy fresh air and learn about nature. Watching their pet discover new sights and sounds, sparks curiosity, making it a fun way to bond and explore.
Language Immersion
As a bilingual educator in French and English, I create an immersive environment for children. Through creative activities, they will learn both languages during our daily interactions, enhancing their skills and fostering a love for communication.
A little about me
My name is Fanny Songeur
I am a 34-year-old French woman who grew up in Switzerland and studied design in Paris before settling in London in 2021. I am the mum of a one year old, and a proud godmother to a wonderful little boy.
I illustrate children’s books alongside my work and since January 2026, I have decided to work has a childminder, bringing together my passion for creativity, children, and caring.
Children on the edge
In April 2026, I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of a truly special cause, Children on the Edge Charity Association.
So, where does my motivation come from?
After welcoming our little Leon into the world a year ago, I’ve been overwhelmed by how freely a child gives love and trust. It made me realize how many children around the world don’t have the same safety, care, or joy, and how important it is to help change that.
Through this run, I want to give back. I want to help bring smiles to children who need them most, just as Leon brings one to my face every single day.
